- Use a soft bristled toothbrush. A hard bristled toothbrush can be abrasive and exacerbate tooth sensitivity.
- Avoid hot or cold foods and drinks. Sticking to lukewarm or room temperature drinks and food, can help prevent tooth sensitivity following teeth whitening.
- Do not brush after teeth whitening. Allow your teeth time to recover after a whitening treatments. Brushing immediately after can potentially damage enamel and open the pores in your teeth further.
